Customer Question

My 9-yr-old has blood in her stool 2x in the last 3 days. The drops of water are floating on top that look like little bubbles of oil that are red. The last time this happened she had a UTI. The blood is in her poop this time. I'm not sure what to do?

Hello, this is Dr. David. I have read your question and I'm ready to help.

you need to bring her in to see a doctor and her her urine checked for infection.

even at her age, she can have hemorrhoid bleeding if her stools are large and hard

do you have a doctor you can get her to see to check her urine?

did she have large hard stools or constipation or straining with her bowel movements?
