My throat is swollen above my Adams Apple, it doesn't hurt but sometimes feels dry..I'm constantly swallowing for relief, but it really does nothing.

This must be very uncomfortable.

The most common cause is bacterial infection.

bacterial infection of the larynx or voice box can cause this swelling.

This will respond to antibiotic course.

Another possibility can be lymph node infection.

Throat lymph nodes can be swollen like this.
