Customer Question

Not feeling well. Nausea, cold sweats, neck hurts, back hurts, heaviness in my chest, more pressure than pain. BP 149/110, pulse 118. 55 year old woman, recently did a holter monitor 48 hour test, was told there were some irregularities but nothing to worry about.

Hi there,
This is Dr Basu, Experienced Specialist.
I am here to address your concerns and provide great service.
But your blood pressure is moderately high so does the pulse rate.
So definitely something is seriously wrong.
Blood clot in the lungs or pulmonary embolism can cause all these symptoms.
Underlying myocardial infarction also can cause them.
Aortic aneurym is another possibility.
CT angiogram of the chest along with a nuclear stress test should be considered.
Now you may also have herniated disc in your spine which can cause radiating pain from nerve impingement.
That work up is considered with MRI scan of the spine after full heart and lung work up.
I will suggest you to go to ER if possible.
Thank you for sharing your concerns with us today. If you have any additional questions or need further clarifications, please do not hesitate to ask. I am here to answer them. I wish you good health. Regards, ***** *****
