Hello, this is Dr. David. I have read your question and I'm ready to help.
severe constipation can cause lower pelvic abdominal pain and flank pain and sometimes lower back pain.
GasX or medications with simethicone for gas usually will not help severe constipation
you need stool softeners like colace (docusate sodium) or eating prunes
and drinking lots of water and using a laxative like Miralax or senokott, or milk of magnesia or Exlax or Ducolax to help get your bowels to move to help your constipation .
if these don't work, you might need Fleet enema or Fleet suppositories to help you get your bowels to move
have you used these laxatives before?
