Salt water gargles three times a day...
OTC Chloroseptic throat spray or similar product to help reduce throat pain..
Sucret's lozenges or similar product to sooth throat..
Taking a routine anti-inflammatory(Aleve or Advil) or analgesic (Tylenol)are options to help discomfort.
If symptoms are progressive to sinus type infection or bronchitis or you have fever or worsening of throat pain with difficulty swallowing then these would be signs that you may benefit from medical attention and perhaps antibiotic...
