I have clear fluid draining from my right ear. I have mild sinus congestion. No pain, no fever. My hearing in that ear is dimished but it feels like the result of swelling. Do I need to do anything about it?

Hi there,
This is Dr Basu, Experienced Specialist.
I am here to address your concerns and provide great service.
You have developed ear effusion.
And fluid can leak out.
also your hearing can be mufled due to the fluid behind the ear drum.
If these symptoms are going on for a while, then bacterial infection is likely.
You will then need oral antibiotic course and a steroid course oral prednisone or steroid nasal spray to help clear up the fluid faster.
