Oh, I see. I actually took 1/2 of a amytriptaline pill this morning. I was just feeling so desperate for sleep. (That is why I considered doxepin as I thought it might help me sleep now!) But I decided to try the amitryptaline. It made my chest feel a little funny and could feel my heart slightly, head a little sensitive. BUT -- I probably have some of the other herbs from moodmend and benedryl in my system too which might interact?

I was online and found someone who said their insomnia was really helped by goji berry juice. Then the sloane Kettering Caner Center foundation is looking into goji berries to fight off breast cancer cells. I guess it has ancient medicinal benefits. Several places cited it for help with sleep.

My apt with my dr. went alright, but he was claiming lack of knowledge saying he had no idea xana would do that. He said that he has never had complaints about it before. He didn't know about the sleep receptors or how ambien wold be countaindicted because of it and he kind of appologized saying "I hope I didn't lead you down the wrong path." makes me wonder... I told him about valerian too and how it wasn't good for this condition.

I think tonight I may just drink some goji juice to see if it helps and if I don't fall asleep, take amitryptaline. No more "moodmend" however..

I read some fearful things about doxpin, that it could cause involuntary tongue movemnets or toutrettes. If it did, do you think it would be a permanent thing or just while taking the medication?

I found a site that indicates there are quite a few medicines that affect the gaba receptors and suggests that passionflower and hops may also affect the receptors? This makes me think that perhap my feeling that herbs are a good, safe, natural to help with benzo withdrawal symptoms, may be inacurate. I bought some goji juice and it turns out it is medicinal and one drinks only an ounce at a time. I tried it and immediatly I felt like I had just sipped passionfower extract. My head was filled with white noise and after about four hours, it still is! But I do hope to sleep tonight. I already took 1/2 a of an amitryptaline in the late afternoon and then the other half a few hours ago. So much seems experimental often. I may try to go to sleep tonight taking nothing more, but if i cannot sleep (heaven forid) then I would probablytake a benedryl or maybe just a melatonin. I can hardly wait to "ever" get over this.
