I apologize that my initial response did not go through. A HIDA scan can show if there is a small stone or blockage of the gallbladder duct that the CAT scan or ultrasound may not show. If the HIDA scan is normal and shows radioactive material going into the gallbladder then you can rest assured that gallbladder disease and stones would not be the problem.
