i have had a cold sore out break, along with a sore right tonsil, sore lower gums and a mild sore throat.... what is this...???
Is this your first time to have a cold sore?
no i have had a couple of out breaks over the years...
You should see your doctor within 72 hours to get antiviral medication if you want. Usually recurrent breaks are milder than the initial one. You can buy over-the-counter medication called Docosanol (Abreva). Applying ice or washcloths soaked in cold water to the blisters.
Just one - is the cold sore related to the sore lower gum line and the swollen right tonsil?
or are they separate issues?
My lower gums have gotten sorer as the evening has progressed
and the swollen right gland has too.
I have recently stopped smoking 5 days ago...
could this be something....
Cold sores can cause sore throat, swollen tonsil, sore gums, swollen glands.
But they spare the inner surface of lips, buccal mucosa, ventral tongue.
Do you have the lesions?
If not, they are symptoms of cold sores.
The cold sore is on my bot***** *****p on the right side... not in the corner of the mouth but in the right central section. I think there are 3 cold sores clumped together running from the base of the outside of the lip to just inside the mouth...
does this description confirm your diagnoses
okay. most likely they are cold sores.
