I recently noticed that my toenails dip in the middle and curve down at the end of the toe. Do you know what that might be?
You need an exam
Does it seem like the nails are becoming loose from the nail bed
Customer: replied 3 years ago.
No, the nails are not becoming loose.
so this is a non specific finding.
How long has it been there?
Customer: replied 3 years ago.
I've noticed this in the last few months
Go through this slide show for me and see if anything looks like what you have
Customer: replied 3 years ago.
Looks most like the clubbing slides, but the nails aren't as smooth and shiny. Also, not every nail is curved at the same angle
any medical problems?
Customer: replied 3 years ago.
A couple of weeks ago I was hospitalized for non-specific abdominal pain. Doctor couldn't find anything.

I take anxiety medication.

I guess that's it
So this can be from aging
Trauma to the nails [from shoes].
It can be from heart, lung or liver disease, which you don't sound like you have.

Abdominal pain that actually hospitalizes you need a scan of the abdomen and probably a colonoscopy, which is due at age 50 anyway.
