I'm 73 with moderate health...would protandim be beneficial for me? Are there side effects?
Hello, this is Dr. David. I have read your question and I'm ready to help.

protandim is sold claiming to work as a strong anti-oxidant.

the reseach that supports these claims are very early on and very preliminary and very hard to measure in patients.

side effect risks are low. here are the list of ingredients.

Milk Thistle Extract, Bacopa, Ashwagandha, Turmeric Extrac, Green Tea Extract

Bacopa can help memory

but it can sometimes cause increased bowel movements, stomach cramps, nausea, dry mouth, and fatigue.

green tea also has a small amount of caffeine in it as well.

why are you trying so many types of supplements? are you not feeling well?
Customer: replied 3 years ago.

diagnosed with CVID, fibromyalgia, chronic fatigue. Have very low energy, very weak leg also slightly damaged. Up until

about 10 years ago I had very robust energy and traveled all over the united states and other countries.

I am sorry you are having such fatigue

CVID and fibromyalgia can cause serious fatigue.

you can try the protandim. it may or may not work for you. I would guess most likely it would not help with your fatigue.

are you on treatment for your fibromyalgia? like lyrica (pregabalin?)

do you get IVIG for your CVID?
Customer: replied 3 years ago.

I was on Lyrica but it blurred my vision permanently so I quit. I considered filing a claim with Lyrica, but they said blurred vision was a side effect!!

Do you suggest any other tests I might take to see what is causing my medical issues. I forgot to add that I have also been diagnosed with mercury toxicity from dental amalgams. I'm very confused as you can imagine.

not easy testing.

have you had thyroid function testing?

have you had blood testing to check magnesium levels? B12 levels? iron levels?

what is your mercury level? have your doctors talk to you about chelation therapy to help decreaes your mercury levels?
