This answer was rated:

I have had an Intermittent Sore/burning Tongue - especially on the very end and sides -Also dry lips which is not something I normally have. Bothering me for about two weeks. Age 64 - feel good otherwise - no particular health problems except gastro issues (dormant Crohns - issues more in my youth) I have had all my life but generally under good control by foods I eat.
Thanks for posting your query.
I am DocNid and I am pleased to assist you.

I went through your post about burning tongue.
I also read about your gastro issues.

Burning tongue is due to glossitis. This usually occurs when there is nutritional deficiency.
Vitamin B complex deficiency causes it. You need to take vitamin supplements for relief.

Sometimes it may occur due to oral thrush especially when the immunity is low. In this case a topical antifungal like clotrimazole will be helpful.

I hope that answers your question.
