This answer was rated:

MY father had radiation about a week ago, and his nausea doesn't let him eat anything.
Any recommendations?
Why did he have radiation.
For what condition
Customer: replied 4 years ago.

He was diagnose with colon cancer. Last week he was given a 5 day radiation treatment. He will start his quemo on the 22 of this month.

He tries to eat but he will vomit he can't seem to hold it down.

Is he passing gas and having bowel movements?
Customer: replied 4 years ago.

he had an ostomy, if thats the correct way to say it. His screment seem okay.

Not home treatment at this point
If he can not hold anything down you are going to need to take him to the ER.
I might needs a short course of IV fluids and IV anti nausea medicine, and then a slow advancement of the diet.
They won't be able to start chemo with him in this condition so I would address it now.
Particular if zofran is not working then this is beyond normal nausea and he should not be at home.
