Doctor-Bob :

Most common cause for something like this would be benign fasciculations. These are irregular involuntary tiny contractions of a muscle bundle. They are very common and affect just about everyone at one time or another. They typically occur on the arms, legs or face but can occur anywhere. They are associated with stress, fatigue and poor sleep, as well as caffeine use. They are almost always self-lmited, requiring no treatment.

Doctor-Bob :

They are slightly more common in those with autoimmune disorders (e.g. Chrons) and those that exercise a lot. They are very rarely associated with neuromuscular diseases.

Customer:

Doctor-Bob :

Sounds like a good move. See your doc if it doesn't go away within a couple months or if it worsens.
