Thanks for your question.
Do you have any other symp***** *****ke pain or swelling of the arm itself?
the arm is swollen about 2" on each side of the vein. It appears to be traveling down my arm. hour infusion therapyFYI I had a 6 of Rituxim for rheumatoid athritis about 10 days ago. This is my 4th infusion and I have not had this reaction, if the infusion caused this reaction.
This can be caused by the rituxan infusion.
Another possibility is a blood clot.
This is I am more concerned about.
Well. I am sure familiar with blood clots. Had an 18" in my leg a year ago, was dissolved with warfarin. No trouble since.
A doppler ultrasound of the arm will rule that out.
If you have a clot, you will need warfarin again.
If there is no clot, then this can be treated with a natural remedy.
Get Butcher's Broom Extract from online or health food store.
Mix few drops with any moisturizer ( eucerin) and then apply over the swollen vein twice daily.
This will eliminate the swollen vein in 4 weeks.
yes, it would am I headed back to the ER or can this wait until office hours...in other words how bad does this have to get? what other symtoms,,Thanks
If there is no further worsening of the swelling, no shortness of breath, then this can wait till office hours.
OK will try your homeopathic suggestion and thanks much, Good night
