Thanks for your question.
Can you move it up and down otherwise?
Is the nail attached or detached from the nail bed?
Any diagnosed medical problem?
Customer: replied 5 years ago.
Hello, yes i can move it up and down and there is no visible damage to the nail bed, just a little black and blue, no diagnosed medical problem

Thanks for your input.

With the symptoms you have mentioned i am hopeful that its not fractured.

You should take OTC Tab Aleve twice daily.
Apply ice over it.
Apply over the counter ibuprofen gel over it thrice daily.
Soak it in warm water in a tub with epsom salt added to it.

after that dry it and apply banaid over it.

Hopefully you will be better and nothing will go wrong further.

If pain become severe and black area increases , then get xray to be sure however i really donot feel that its fractured so just relax.

I wish that you get well soon

I hope this helps you.
