Dr. Oz what causes leg cramps?
Dr. Oz does not answer questions on the internet or on this site.
But I can answer your question.
There are 3 main areas
Bad circulation...pulses in the legs have to be checked, and sometimes a study called doppler studies of the legs [arterial] are needed.

Problems in the lower spine, such as spinal stenosis and other problems such as disc disease of the lower spine.

Electrolyte imbalance
magnesium calcium potassium sodium and chloride all need to be checked.

Sometimes cramping can also be more prevalent in diabetes, thyroid and neurological disease as well.
