what do you mean by lower left side
where exactly is this pain?
Customer: replied 6 years ago.
above pubic bone/ would it be linguial strain, had ct sca with contrast nothing showed up but its very annoying
Expert:  DrRussMD replied 6 years ago.
Groin muscle tear is possible
Hip arthritis can also refer pain here so a hip x ray is a simple screen.

I would suggest at this point that you see a doctor that has the capability to diagnose this hands on.

A physical medicine and rehabilitation doctor and prescribe therapy that can correct the pelvic dysfunction related to hip problems, lower spine problems [also possible] and groin muscle tear.

This is assuming this is not a hernia, which sounds unlikely at this point.
good luck

i have no problem with my groin/hip its a burning pain in my lower left side above groin and only bothers me when walking or standing for long periods of time, had ct scan with iv contrast and nothing showed up it does not bother otherwise.

Greetings. Another possibility would be that there is a bulging or herniated disc in the lower thoracic or upper lumbar spine which is irritating one of the nerves which supplies the skin in the area in which you are having pain. This problem typically does NOT show up on CT scans, which do not show the discs in the spine well. The test of choice for further identifying this condition or ruling it out would be an MRI of the thoracic and lumbar spine.

dont have any pain in lower back/ had xrays etc/ play golf every week doesent bother me its as i stated, my job requires lifting a patient that is completely imobile, so is it possible it is musle related

Xrays only show spine fractures but do not provide information about whether or not there are bulging discs or anything else (such as a growth) which is putting pressure on the nerves which emerge from the spinal cord. You do not have to have back pain per se to have a nerve related problem in the back. Some people only experience the symptoms or nerve compression from a bulging disc rather than back or neck pain itself. It is possible that it is muscle related, but burning-type pain is often associated with a nerve-related cause.
