A shadow is an area of different intensity on chest x-ray. A shadow in right lung lower lobe can be due to wide variety of reasons- pneumonia, lymph node, cancer, benign growth, infections, fluid collection and many more.
The nature of the symptoms, physical exam and appearance of the shadow need to be correlated. A CAT scan of the chest may be rquired. Treatment would dpend on the cause of the shadow.
It would be best to be seen by your primary care doc and have this investigated.
