Since how long this is going on?

How much blood comes with stool? Do you feel pain as well, while passing stool?

Any history of constipation associated?

Customer: replied 6 years ago.

I would say on and off for six months. When it happens it drips out like i have been cut. No i do not feel any pain .

I do have constipation once in awhile.

Lately it has been happening 1 a wk or so.

Ok and thanks for your input.

There are various causes of such bright red bleeding, most common includes haemmoroids and polyps. You need to be concern for this problem. In your case best course would be to see your GP as soon as possible. You will need a digital rectal and proctoscopic examination to confirm the problem and treatment accordingly. These are well treatable conditions. In the mean time use a high fiber diet, drink extra fluid and avoid straining while passing stool.
