Ken :

Brain consists of two type of parenchyma {if I should say} - Gray and white matter. It is well appreciated on CT scan. If the report says that the differentiation is preserved than it indicates that the Brain is normal and there is no abnormality seen within. paranasal sinuses and mastoids are part of the skull bones which normally have air within them {aerated}. This is normal. If they lose air within them than it indicates that there is some abnormality. The findings in CT Brain with your your daughter are normal and there is nothing to worry of.
