I see. The rash sounds to be something fungal like tinea corporis or ringworm. It is easily tested to be fungus. All you need to do is get a skin scraping and look at it under a microscope. Any GP can do this. I don't think the lymph node is related actually. If lymph nodes are related to rash or infection, almost always they are painful. I do think she needs the lymph node evaluated though. Any lymph node such as this needs physician evaluation and possibly a biopsy. PK
