I am an orthopedic surgeon and would be glad to help.
It is too soon to start weight bearing on the injured ankle. The avulsion fracture in fact denotes ankle instability as the ligament attached to the avulsed fragment is unable to give stability to ankle when sideways forces are applied to ankle.
You need to wait at least 2 weeks more before you can start even partial weight bearing on the ankle as this much time is required for the fracture to heal to the extent where it can resist forces produced by weight bearing.
Just touchdown should be fine if no pain occurs on doing touchdown.
Pushing the foot inside the boot is not worrisome.
