can a non-functioning gallbladder cause liver lobulations

can a non-functioning gallbladder cause liver lobulations?
Do you have an official report?
Customer: replied 6 years ago.
no official report - my friend scanned me - we have 30 years experience between the two of us - i am going to my family physician on tuesday - my liver is definitely lobulated at the medial aspect - she scanned me a half hour after eating, then an hour, then an hour and a half, and no change in my gallbladder. it never contracted. i'm sure i need a hida scan. my question is - can a non-functioning gallbladder cause liver lobulations? or, should i be worried about another disorder?
Gallbladder dysfunction cannot cause a lobulated liver. You will need a HIDA. The lobulated liver simply mens divided into small lobes. You should not be worried. I have no doubt you and your friend have interpreted this correctly but suggest you go over this with a radiologist.

ok, i respect your answer, but i just want to know why a month ago my liver wasn't lobulated, and all of a sudden it is. we have students every semester who practice on us on down-time, so that's how i know. i am fatigued all the time, my sister has thalassemia minor and graves disease. i drink a total of 5 glasses of wine each weekend. the whites of my eyes have always had a yellow tinge to them. i have been on focalin xr 15 mg. for 3 years. i just want you to have all this info to see if there is anything else you think it could be. i appreciate your time.
what are liver function tests?

Relist: Inaccurate answer.
i am asking a question regarding my liver, and the "expert" responded - "what are liver function tests?" I have ZERO confidence in this person. Sorry!
Hello,

I can understand your anxiety.

Liver has regular smooth margins. In some individuals margins are lobulated. This does not primarily suggest any liver disease. Few other imaging signs need to be seen - Density or echogenicity of the underlying liver tissue/ any abnormal focal lesion at the liver {under the lobulations}/ any focal lobulation {lobulations at whole of the liver are generally a normal variant}.

Gall bladder disease {non functioning} will not cause liver lobulations {involving all of the liver} for sure.

Wish you best of health. God bless
