Since how long the pain is there? How frequently it is coming? The precise site of pain, any radiation to other place & if so, where? Any aggravating or relieving factor? Relation to food? How are stool & urine? Any area of tenderness? Any other related symptoms like vomiting? Was any test taken? Any significant past illness?

the pain is close to the spleen, towards back side above buttocks. pain has been persistant for one week. Stool is fine and urine is fine. Outside of skin has a burning sensation.

Thank you for the input.

The internal pain at lower left side can come urinary infection, or stone , mesenteric lymph adenitis, or colitis or intestinal spasms from constipation or gas. Other probable causes are pinching of nerve, muscle strain, shingles if it is at the surface or wall of the abdomen. When it is towards the back near waist area kidney cause needs to be excluded. Urine change may not be apparent. I think you should have an examination by doctor & do some tests like urine, blood tests, ultrasound etc if doctor feels necessary.

Any query, please feel free to ask.
It will be my privilege to assist you.

the pain seems to feel like sore muscle and the pain slowly goes towards the front. The pain is on the waistline on left side more towards the back above the left buttock. Constipation or gas is not a problem.

Muscle strain can cause soreness, but internal inflammation of an organ is also probable. When constipation, diarrhea or gas are not problems, intestinal causes may not be there. Other causes need to be ruled out.
