what is the shelf life for sterile water for inhalation purposes. I received some sterile water for my husband from a medical supply company that was dated for april and may. my husband in on oxegen and needs the sterile water for moisturization. Is this water safe to use?

Expired dated sterile water may not be sterile and can have fungus or bacterial growth in it.

It is safer not to use expired date water for moisturization of respiratory passage.

You should not use any discolored water even it is within date of use.
