Welcome to Just Answer...

Sorry to hear about your problem...

Since how long are you having this?

Do you have nasal discharge, or suffered from cold/sinus infection recently?

Any history of headache or visual complaints...

Any concurrent medical conditions?

Seems like I have had it for some months on and off. I suppose I have some allergys, I do suffer from migraine headaches which I have had for years. Im fairly healthy. Sometimes I notice I get a little sore in my nose. but it goes away.

Thanks for the input...

Well it appears that you are having Phantosmia...It is a condition in which one gets olfactory hallucinations, which means you can detect smell which is not in actual present in your surroundings...

There are many causes for this which include temporal lobe seizures, tumors, head injury, stroke, parkinson's, upper respiratory infections and migraine...

Therefore, in your case it can be due to recurrent upper respiratory infection or migraine, but i will suggest you to get a consultation for a comprehensive clinical examination, discussing the above mentioned possibilities, which will direct furthur tests and subsequent management plan...

I hope this answers your question...

Kindest Regards...
