II have had this problem since I had chemo off and on. It does not happen ofen but it does happen. I have to go to the bathroom but don't have time to get there. As I said this does not happen often. No, I don't take laxitives. I have had Non-Hodgkins disease sice 1999 but have been in remission for many years. I do take a Rituxin treatment every 6 weeks. I have discussed this with my Dr. but no real advice. I also have hemoroids.

Thanks.

  1. Any increased frequency after waking up in the morning?
  2. Any pain or cramps/ excessive gas/ abdominal bloating/ belching?
  3. Any blood/ mucus in the stools?
  4. Any stress/ anxiety?
  5. Does this coincides with the Rituxin therapy that you are receiving?

Thanks. Shall be waiting for your reply.

It never occurs in the early morning. I have no pain or cramps, excessive gas, bloating, or belching. I do sometimes have mucus in my stools. I notice this after I have been anxious and under a lot of stress. I can;t say this coincides with my cancer treatment but will watch and see. It doesn't happen often enough to be the Rituxin I don't think.

Thank you.

Thanks for all the additional details. Having gone through your description, it seems that we might be dealing with a mix of problems out here, and these could include anxiety/ stress and the use of Rituxin (and perhaps irritable bowel syndrome as well).

Kindly have a look at this web resource which is quite informative, and may be helpful to you:

http://www.drugs.com/rituxan.html

I think that your doctor would definitely like to consider the following possibilities as well, once you check in with her/ him, which you must:

(a) IBS (irritable bowel syndrome)

(b) Food allergy

(c) Inflammatory Bowel Disease

(d) Bacterial overgrowth syndrome

I hope that this helps. Please feel free to inquire if you have any remaining concerns/ doubts, as it shall be a privilege and a pleasure to try and help as much as I can. Best wishes.
