Ventricular tachycardia can be very serious, but there are several possible treatments for this condition. The most frequent cause of ventricular tachycardia is underlying coronary artery disease, but if you have no other underlying heart disease, it is more likely due to irritability within the electrical channels of the heart, which can also cause lesser electrical abnormalities and the sensation of quivering at lower heart rates. Whether it will cause long-term problems or disability is dependent upon how successful is the treatment. Although the treatments for this are general successful, there is no treatment that works all of the time. If you get a good response to the ablation, then you will be able to live normally and not be disabled.
