I have small pea sized lumps in my abdomen, mostly on the left

Customer Question

I have small pea sized lumps in my abdomen, mostly on the left side below and around my ribcage. The lumps move around and seem to be bigger at times and sometimes painful. I also have pain in the same area. Enough to make me have dreams of pain there only to wake up in extreme pain. My ribs and chest are very sensitive. My 9 mo old can't even apply pressure without causing extremely uncomfortable pain. I will always have the sensation of something moving or like a muscle spasm in my stomach. I don't know if this is connected but my arms, especially left, have Been going numb multiple times a day. Dizziness and fatigue are a daily occurrence. This has been going on for months. Can u tell me what may be causing my symptoms?

Lumps like this could be multiple neurofibromas or lipomas.

Did your doctor speak to you about this ?

I lost my insurance 12 weeks after she was born. The company I worked for closed our site. The lumps weren't really big issue until about 6 months ago. I accessed another site a few days ago and the specialist suggest malignant mesothelioma, but I don't believe I've been exposed to asbestos. Do all of my symptoms fit your suggestions?

Hardly could be malignant mesothelioma.

You do not have any respiratory problems.

Sincerely hope, this helps.

I am available for further follow up discussions.

Thank you.

I know. That's why I am seeking further help. My question in my response asked if all my symptoms fit all of your suggestions? I have heard of lymphoma but never limpomas?

Expert:  DOCDEV replied 7 years ago.

LIPOMAS are fatty lumps.

However, they hardly cause pain , inless they get inflamed.

Same with Neurofibromas.

These are benign conditions , and do not need treatment.

Treatment is done for cosmetic reasons only.

You have very conflicting symptoms which hardly fit one diagnosis.

I think a Costochondritis maight also be an issue here- Inflammation of ribs and costal cartilages.

For a proper diagnosis, you would need X Ray Chest and MRI.

I can only give you inputs regarding the various possibilities.

Diagnosis will depend on imaging and tests.
