I have been on anitdepressants/anxiety meds for about 20

Resolved Question:

I have been on anitdepressants/anxiety meds for about 20 years. Recently my Dr. changed my meds from Lexapro to Pristiq because I was feeling very low, antisocial, crying etc... I was on Pristiq for 3 weeks, and all ... broke loose after i ran out of it for two days. I have been really irritable, uncontrolable crying, weak, upset stomach, lots of belching, fuzzy feeling head. My doctor does not think i was on the Pristiq long enough to be having withdrawal symptoms. She also put me on Wellbutrin instead of continuing the Pristiq. I have missed two days of work and this is the third day of feeling awful!!

Your symptoms are very typical of withdrawal.

Your Dr should have either kept going with the Pristiq or waited for the withdrawal to subside.

As it is you will just need to " tough it out."

Afraid not - not unless you can convince your own Dr to put you back on Pristiq - but now you are on Wellbutrin. All sounds like a bit of a mess.....
