Hi there are a few reasons for mucous . infammation in the bowel wall can result in mucus in comditions of ulcerative colitis , irritiable bowel syndrome or crohns disease. I would sugggest that you get a colonoscopy to see exactly what is going on. Also your doctor needs to check for any anal fissures that may be infected or any other forms of infection in the anus.
