Your symptoms are simulating chronic pharyngitis mostly granulomatous. This condition is characterized with chronic throat inflammation without much of pain but discomfort is present.Sometimes chronic tonsillitis can have similar symptoms but medical treatment remains broadly same

A complete course of antibiotic with antihistaminics can provide relief. If pain is there oral analgesics (NSAIDs) can be taken whenever required..Steam inhalation and warm water with salt gargles can be helpful. A consultation with a ENT doctor may also be considered.

Avoid smoking, dust ,any irritant or extreme temperatures.

Please ask if i have left any of your query unanswered or if there are any doubts.

I hope I have been helpful to you.

Thank you. Regards

I also have some -possibley nasal drip?- in the back of my throat. I feel a little swollen under my jaw bone as well. Thirsty as well. I don't know if this is related- but I also suffer from frequent times of neck pain & stiffness (muscles/bones in back & tendons in front). I apologize for not thinking of everything the first time- but this is the first time I have done this.

Sorry for the delay.

Postnasal drip is usually due congestion/inflammation in nasal cavity and nasopharangeal region.Nasal decongestant along with antibiotics and antihistaminics can take care of it.

The swelling under the jaw is very like to be enlarged lymph node. Its common to have such lymph nodes in chronic infection. They reverse back to normal size once infection is treated.

Neck stiffness doesnt seem related to this and might be due changes of spondylosis with paraspinal muscle spasm. You may consider getting a Cervical spine Xray done.

I hope I have been helpful to you.

Thank you. Regards
