I've been experiencing leg sweats at night time. I wake up

Resolved Question:

I've been experiencing leg sweats at night time. I wake up and they are really wet with sweat. What could this mean?? It's been happening for about 2 weeks.

The sweating is just in your legs?

any fevers?

weight loss?

what other medical problems do you have?

Customer: replied 7 years ago.
None of those things. I don't have any other medical issues. I'm 44 and I recently gave up afternoon caffeine and I thought that I was just sleeping really heavily, but it's happened for about 2 weeks at night now.

If you are otherwise healthy then it is most likely nothing to worry about.

To be safe I would see your doc and have them run these tests:

TSH (thyroid studies)

CMP - complete metabolic profile

CBC - blood count.

These are basic screening tests and would point to something more serious if it is there.

I hope this helps.
