Dear katpat,

Greetings and welcome to justanswer,

The blood sugar measured after the overnight fasting is known as fasting blood sugar levels. The fasting blood sugar level of 136mg/dl means that the person is likley to be suffering from diabetes.

The normal fasting blood sugar levels should be less than 110mg/dl. The levels from 110 to 126mg/dl are considered to be borderline diabetes.
