minutes afterwards, why is that...
I am on clindamycin, it says I cannot lie down for 30 minutes afterwards, why is that? I'm I able to sit after taking it if I cannot lie down?

The reason why you should not lie down after taking clindamycin is because in some patients the develop some irritation of the stomach with the pills. This can worsen any existing gastro-esophageal reflux (GERD) and can cause pain. Gravity helps keep the gastric juices from refluxing upwards. You also shouldn't lie down after eating, anything, really, but with certainly medications this is even more important.

But can I at least sit down I walk around for a half hour and its annoying? I have have surgical incision on my bell which is why I'm on clindamycin so can I sit down if I cannot lie down?
