Resolved Question:

I had a blood count of 20,000 and 26,000 with pain in my body for six weeks. My white blood cell count is normal now although I still have whole body feeling of sickness. I have to go in for sinus surgery for a block in my left cheek. I have been treated with amoxicillan and avelox. My pain is not in my faceand never was. I have been sick for over six weeks. Antibiotic does relieve some symptoms and reduces my fever although it does not bring about a full recovery. My question is could this be MRSA?

lt;p>Which count is 20, 000???

MRSA is just one type of infection that can exist. Yes, you could have a MRSA infection. This means that the bug is more difficult to treat because it is resistant to many antibiotics (not all).

I hope this information helps

This is no substitute for your own doctor's advice and does not form a doctor patient relationship.
