Since when have you had it ?

Have you had any tests for it ?

Are you able to compress it ?

Do you have a fever ?

i am having an ultra sound done to there is no fever infact as i say it is completely painless..looks like a muscle has been forced out of place ..the lump runs from the centre around to the inner part of the leg..a cyst looks the likely answer but i am not you know what the treament will be...possibly draining..or maybe it could be a hernia problem(i have had iguinal hernias on both sides in the past 5 years)

This can be a cyst, if this lump is originating from the groin, then this can also be a hernia.

A Soft tissue swelling / infection / abscess can also cause such a lump.

The Ultrasound would be able to tell what this is and it can be treated accordingly.

A Cyst can be drained, while an infection needs to be treated with antibiotics, a hernia would need reduction and surgical correction.

The treatment can be decided once the Ultrasound report comes in.

coughing can cause pain and increase in size of the hernia.
