Can I take Risperdal after taking Lorazepam?
Hi Chammy,
May I ask exactly what your question is? Do you have a prescription for both?
Are you asking how closely they can be taken together?
Customer: replied 8 years ago.
I do have prescriptions for both. My Ativan is 2mg, the Risperdal 1mg Mtabs. I am having a panic attack and the Ativan is not helping me. I want to know if I can safely take something else to help me calm down. I want to know how soon, and what miligrams I can take. Thank you so much.
Oh, I am sorry....
When did you take the ativan? And was it 2mg?
Customer: replied 8 years ago.
Its been about two hrs, yes it was 2mgs.
The risperdal really isn't used for an acute panic attack so I am not sure that it is going to help you.....
The interaction between the two is that they are both sedating and therefore you may get very drowsy. Since you are prescribed both, you could probably take today's dose now, but you cannot go out and drive after taking it.
A better option would be to try taking a 1/2 of another ativan and see if that makes a difference for you.

I hope that you feel better. I know how awful panic attacks can be.
