Since when do you have this symptom ?

Do you have a fever ?

Do you have diabetes / heart disease ?

Is this limited to the area with any redness / sharply defined swelling ?

Customer: replied 8 years ago.
I noticed the numbness on Sunday March 29 and the swelling the next day. It extends from my temple to just below my left eye. The swelling in not that noticable, but I can feel it with my finger tips. It is tender when touched, especially just below the eye. I am very much over weight but have not been diagnosed with either high blood pressure or diabetes.

Are you on any medicines / tried anything for this swelling ?
Customer: replied 8 years ago.
No to both questions

Such an acute swelling can be caused by an Allergic reaction, an infection or trauma to the area.

I would advise you to try and Ice the area, that would reduce the swelling.

If this swelling continues to increase in size, it would be advisable to see a doctor for an evaluation.

Considering your weight, you should get yourself evaluated for diabetes and heart disease, as weight is a risk factor for both these illnesses.
