Could I have low blood sugar symptoms if my blood sugar was

Resolved Question:

If my blood sugar was 64 could I experience low blood sugar symptoms  at that level?

Low blood sugar (Doctors call it Hypoglycemia) is considered to be any blood sugar reading below 70 Mg/Dl (milligrams per deciliter).

You can certainly have hypoglycemic symptoms with a blood sugar reading of 64 -- in fact, people who are not considered clinically hypoglycemic can have such symptoms if their blood sugar drops quickly enough -- even though it does not fall below the normal range.

That said, your symptoms would probably not be severe if your blood sugar remains just below the normal range.

Could the symptoms I experienced-confusion, weakness, fatigue be present At 64?

Expert:  Oreport replied 11 years ago.

Although the symptoms may not be typical at that blood sugar level -- everyone is different.

Basically, if your symptoms persist (repeat) and are relieved by eating/drinking juice/fruit or something similar -- that would be a strong indication that your symptoms are hypoglycemic in origin.
