Mazda Repair Questions? Ask Mechanics for Answers ASAP
Hello, my name is ***** ***** I will assist you today. If those lights came on, then a diagnostic trouble code has been set in the computer's memory. Do you have an auto parts store nearby to you?
Yes I am here.
Have you noticed any performance issues since the lights came on?
Ok good. Then it is probably not a major issue. This can be caused by something as simple as a loose fuel cap, or a cooling system running to cold. Could be an evaporative emission system small leak. These would not cause any performance issues. Now it could be a sensor that is not reading correctly and the PCM (engine computer) has detected this.
So go ahead and drive it without any worries, but ask the dealer to connect their scan tool and read the codes
Then the appropriate repair can be performed.
It depends. If it is a loose fuel cap, then no, not expensive. If it is a sensor or something else, it could range from $75.00 to oh $300.00.
Oh yes. If it were transmission related, you would for sure notice driveability/performance/shifting issues.
You are very welcome!
