Have a 2004 Mazda 6 V6, misfires mostly when damp outside.

Customer Question

Have a 2004 Mazda 6 V6, misfires mostly when damp outside. Have brought the car in more then once and all have done is replace the ignition coils. Still misfires when damp outside. At this point I'm thinking there is something else wrong other then the coils. Any Ideas - Thanks

Hello, I'm Brandon - Mazda tech.

Do you have P code?

What kind of coil did they put in?

I'd recommend you to install factory Mazda coil not aftermarket ignition coil.

The plastic that is protecting the coil must be defective to let moisture in there.

Let me know if you have further questions.
