JA: Just to clarify, what are the exact lights you're talking about?
Customer: The yellow Wrench symble
JA: What is the model/year of your Mazda?
Customer: 2008 Tribute 4 cylinder
JA: Are you fixing your Tribute yourself? What have you tried so far?
Customer: I'm a retired service manger at the dealership level. I bought the vehicle used at the local Mazda dealer in Peoria,AZ. The service manager came out and told me they couldn't diag it and i may have to replace complete cluster.

There should be a code stored in the computer related to this issue (wrench light).

I suspect this is due to an issue with the throttle body or drive by wire system.

The most common cause is a faulty throttle body assembly provided the wires going to it are good.

Like I said I spent the better part of 35 years in the Service Department and most of them as a manager. I know the dealer has tech help lines and multiple service updates to help them if they are stumped. I will contact the Dealer and speak with General Manager or Dealer Principle. That you so much.
