Mazda Repair Questions? Ask Mechanics for Answers ASAP
You need to remove the mirror glass from the mirror motor.
This is tricky thing to do, and most will break the glass if not done correctly.
The indicator lamp is screwed into the back of the mirror head, the screws are accessible once the glass is out.
If you aren't confident, I would recommend Mazda replaces the indicator for you.
The labour would be cheaper than a broken mirror glass.
Hope this helps.
Sorry for confusion, I was thinking of a different model.
Yes, if you are careful with a small flatblade screwdriver and cloth etc, the trim comes off, then the indicator assembly is accessible.
Assembly is easier.
