Vvt actuator replacement... new chaing as well... all worked

vvt actuator replacement... new chaing as well... all worked as describe. driver reports sluggish acceleration.. no clicking or misfire as ideal... althogh after starting the rpms are at 1200.. then slowly drop... putting in reverse significanly drops rpm but does not stall the engine
JA: Where exactly do you think the noise is coming from? And how long has this been going on?
Customer: passenger side.. typical vvt issue with the 2007 cx7
JA: Are you hoping to fix this yourself? What have you tried so far?
Customer: yes.... I believe the timing sensor is not in correct position
JA: Anything else you think the mechanic should know?
Customer: not that I can think of. cams did not move when tightening them
