I'm sorry you are having problems with your vehicle. I will try to help.

I'm a full time mechanic and have been a mechanic for over 20 yrs and I work part-time here on JustAnswer to help you and others repair their own vehicles, and I get credited by your ratings.. So before leaving the site make sure and leave me a rating. You can still reply to me as many times as neeed, even after the rating.. I will need for you to be my hands and eyes since I'm not there.

So it sounds like a wire was disconnected on something. Do you have a check engine light on?

Let me know,

Thanks

sonny

Check engine light is not on
Expert:  Master Auto Tech. replied 1 year ago.

HHMMM, ok so that is interesting.

Try reseting the system. Take the battery cables off and touching them together for 10 seconds. and retry it and let me know what happens

K that didn't work still tremoring and seems like it's not idling right and still no tach
Expert:  Master Auto Tech. replied 1 year ago.

ok I am not sure. I will opt out and see if another tech has any idea. Sorry

Customer: replied 1 year ago.
Could it be a cam shaft sensor or the timing sensor on the crankshaft
Expert:  Master Auto Tech. replied 1 year ago.
it could esp if they were hit at all or unplugged. The tachometer reads off the crank sensor. Did you check the connector on the cam and cranks?
Customer: replied 1 year ago.
Checked connection on cam sensor
Expert:  Master Auto Tech. replied 1 year ago.
Just for kicks did you check all your fuses?
Customer: replied 1 year ago.
No but I'll dot hat now
Expert:  Master Auto Tech. replied 1 year ago.
Ok let me know
Customer: replied 1 year ago.
I did hit the camshaft sensor when I was tightening up the motor mount but no fuses are blown
Expert:  Master Auto Tech. replied 1 year ago.
Did you damage the sensor at all?
Expert:  Master Auto Tech. replied 1 year ago.
If you damaged it then that could be the whole problem. Let me know tho. Thanks
Sonny

Customer: replied 1 year ago.

Customer: replied 1 year ago.

Expert:  Master Auto Tech. replied 1 year ago.
My message went the same time as yours, did you see my last post?
Expert:  Master Auto Tech. replied 1 year ago.
Oops. Sorry. Yours just came thru
Expert:  Master Auto Tech. replied 1 year ago.
it could of damaged it internally. It can cause the problem your having but generally the cel would come on. Does your cel come on when you turn the key on but engine off?

Ok so if it's not on when it's running then it's not setting a code. Unless it's a pending code. Well we could confirm if it was ok or not with an oscilloscope but I'm guessing you don't have one since it's rather specialized. So if it were me I'd probably replace it Anyway since it could cause all the symptoms you are having.Just curious is the maf hooked up?
Customer: replied 1 year ago.
Back at the parts place getting the cam sensor what is the maf
Expert:  Master Auto Tech. replied 1 year ago.
Mass airflow sensor. It's bolted on the intake tube and air cleaner box.

I will be signing off shortly so if I don't get a reply before I sign off I'll see your reply real early in the morning
Customer: replied 1 year ago.
Well it's not the camshaft sensor
Expert:  Master Auto Tech. replied 1 year ago.
Ok so make sure the maf is plugged in.
Customer: replied 1 year ago.
It'll be this evening and believe I'm gonna take it to shop
Expert:  Master Auto Tech. replied 1 year ago.
Try unplugging the alt first. If it doesn't fix it then take it to the shop. But it's an easy test.
Customer: replied 1 year ago.
I'll try it
Expert:  Master Auto Tech. replied 1 year ago.
Let me know what happens
