Mazda CX-9 Grand Touring: Mazda CX-9. Already replaced blower

Customer Question

Mazda CX-9. Already replaced blower relays for rear blower run-on after ignition is turned off. Now the rear fan and controls work OK, but the rear fan is very weak compared to new. This didn't start right after the relays were replaced, but later.

Hello and welcome to JustAnswer!Unless there is voltage drop through the contacts of the relay it shouldn't have caused the motor to run slowly. The motor is either running slowly due to an internal failure or a poor power or ground feed. What you'll want to do is either load test the circuit with a headlamp bulb making sure it lights as brightly as if connected to the battery, or you could check voltage drop on the power and ground feed circuits while the motor is turned on. If the power and ground are ok then the motor can be condemned.
