Customer Question

I have 2 MPVs with the same leak. One is 93 and the other is a 97.
On the back of the engine on the passenger side there is a cap that plugs the hole where the distributor was. Many mechanics have replaced that and told me that would fix it. The "fix" lasts for a few months and then it leaks again. This has happened on all 3 MPVs I have owned.
How should this get fixed properly?

It's possible that your crankcase is building up pressure, so it is able to push oil out the "weakest link". Try taking your oil cap off and see if there seems to be pressure behind it with the engine running. You may need to replace your PCV valve.
