My 2008 Mazda CX-9 4WD light is on constant. Gives code

Customer Question

My 2008 Mazda CX-9 4WD light is on constant. Gives code P1887. Dealer says wires leading to the rear diff solenoid are corroded. Dealer says the wires are not replaceable. Therefore, I need to rear end transfer case. It is very expensive and seems extreme to me. Any thoughts on just fixing the wires?
